Newt Gingrich - Newt Gingrich is staging a quiet comeback and could be the GOP’s next favorite alternative to rival Mitt Romney. He inched into the double digits in couple of recent national polls. In addition, his campaign raised more money in October than during the entire third-quarter reporting period. The big question is, if he does make it to the top, can he stay there?(Photo: REUTERS/Brian C. Frank)

Jon Huntsman - Jon Huntsman continues to bank on the New Hampshire primary to gain more traction for his campaign. However, since he consistently places at the bottom of every poll, and sometimes not at all, his strategy is not working. “Given our electorate … he doesn’t have a prayer of being elected,” a retired independent voter told The Boston Globe. “He’s not conservative enough for the Republicans.”(Photo: REUTERS/Brian Snyder)
