The NFL and its players continue to act in good faith, as both sides told judges Tuesday they are settling disagreements in three pending cases outside of court, the Associated Press reports.

The small but definitely not minor catch is that it all is contingent upon the new 10-year collective bargaining agreement being finished by Aug. 4. But by most accounts there shouldn’t be any problems.

In the meantime, lawyers for both sides told U.S. District Judges David Doty and Susan Richard Nelson that the two sides have settled out of court. Nelson was informed that the antitrust suit filed by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and nine others is being dropped. Then Doty was told the TV networks' “lockout insurance” case and a separate collusion claim by the players were being resolved.

This was all made possible when the NFLPA executive board and 32 players’ representatives voted to approve the new collective bargaining agreement. The owners had agreed on the new CBA last Thursday.
