Former NFL superstar Deion Sanders has filed for divorce from his wife, Pilar. Sanders served his wife with the paperwork last Friday in Dallas, Texas.
Pilar Sanders is Sanders’s second wife. They have three children together.
Sanders, who was nicknamed “Prime Time” and “Neon Deion” back in his football days, was very clear about his reasoning for the split: “Enough is enough. I never signed up for all this. Enough is enough,” reports BlackAmericaWeb. “If I wanted a model or a television star, I would have married one a long time ago. All I wanted was a housewife.”
Pilar Sanders appeared to take the higher road when she responded with the following statement: “It’s unfortunate that my husband decided to take this course of action. I’m surprised and hurt. As I said to my children, we must take a minute, breathe and trust God,” reports HelloBeautiful.
Pilar Sanders recently co-starred in VH1's “Single Ladies” and has become a perfumista and has her hand in several charities and music endeavors.
