Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll "Woos" Lebron James as a Touchdown Maker

A mostly tongue-and-cheek exchange between Carroll and James was captured on Twitter this week after James jokingly asked when was the last day of trades in the NFL.

You had to know this idea of LeBron James playing in the NFL, which he jokingly floated on Twitter earlier this week, was going to eventually have legs.

Who knew an actual NFL coach would legitimize what was a clearly a fantasy idea James floated this week on his Twitter page? Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll had an interesting exchange on Twitter on Thursday about the King having a workout with his team.

It was almost like Carroll was recruiting James, and we all know the trouble Carroll got USC the last time he was allowed to recruit athletes.

We shouldn’t expect to see the Miami Heat star in a NFL uniform anytime soon. But the back-and-forth tweets were entertaining all the same.

@PeteCarroll: hey @KingJames are you aware of what the League's rookie minimum is?

@KingJames: yeah more than what I'm making now Coach

@PeteCarroll: I kinda think of you as a touchdown maker but is it true you think of yourself as a pass rusher?

@KingJames: TD maker for sure!

@PeteCarroll: @KingJames I like it! maybe you should head over to #TheU & I'll set up a little workout for you to catch a few balls... just ask for BC

And then Carroll shot James a picture of a Seahawks "LeBron" jersey.

@KingJames: Nice!! Looks great

You figure both James and Carroll must have too much time on their hands. James killing time during the NBA lockout is understandable. But you would think Carroll has some more pressing issues with his Seahawks at 2-3 in the NFC West.
