Ray Rice's Wife Breaks Silence: 'THIS IS OUR LIFE!'

Janay Rice describes reliving domestic violence incident a "nightmare."

Janay Rice broke her silence Tuesday, a day after the Baltimore Ravens cut her husband, Ray Rice, following the Monday morning TMZ Sports release of a surveillance video which shows the running back knocking her out cold in an Atlantic City, New Jersey, hotel earlier this year.

"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend," Janay Rice wrote on her Instagram account, as verified by the Baltimore Sun. "But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that [the] media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass [off] for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.

"THIS IS OUR LIFE!" she added. "What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"

After the Ravens terminated Rice's contract Monday, the NFL suspended him indefinitely. Two months back, however, the league originally only suspended Rice for two games for his involvement in this domestic violence incident. On Monday, the NFL claimed that it never saw Monday's surveillance video at the time of making its original decision.
