Mike Tyson Reveals He Was Sexually Abused As a Child

Former heavyweight champ recalls story of being violated at seven-years-old.

Mike Tyson was a victim of childhood sexual abuse.

Appearing on "Opie Radio" on Sirius XM earlier this week, as reported by TMZ Sports, the former heavyweight boxing champion revealed that as a seven-year-old, he was snatched off the streets by an "old man" and sexually abused. Tyson said the incident happened one time and he never seen the man again.

"[The man] bullied me, sexually abused me and stuff... snatched me off the street," Tyson said, before adding that he was able to run away from his abuser.

Iron Mike never reported the incident to the police and only told certain people he knew about the incident, commenting, "I just lived my life." He says to this day he's "not embarrassed or ashamed" that the incident took place.

Tyson, 48, added that he thinks about the incident sometimes and other times he doesn't. The boxing great is currently involved in promoting fighters.
