Some people laughed off Kanye West pretending to storm the stage at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
New England Patriots’ Brandon Browner wasn’t one of them. The star cornerback ripped Yeezy for trying to discredit Beck, who won the award for Album of the Year over Beyoncé.
"Kanye West is a sucka! Everybody don't listen to Beyonce. Second time he tried to steal somebody shine. First time it was a 15 yr old girl," Browner tweeted, also referring to Kanye interrupting Taylor Swift’s moment during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. "Kanye try and play that I'm weird because of my genius. None of the greats pull that stupid ish. Meaning Marley, Mike Jack, Tupac, Jayz etc.
"Peep who he tried Beck and Taylor Swift,” he added. “Real tough guy. If only I could've been Beck for one night. Kanye would be rapping thru the wire."
After pretending to storm the stage, ’Ye argued to E! that if the Grammys want “real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us." Kanye also said that “Beck needs to respect artistry” and “he should've given his award to Beyoncé."
