Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Hospitalized With Chest Pains

NBA legend had quadruple bypass surgery two weeks ago.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been taken to the hospital after experiencing chest pains Wednesday morning, TMZ reports. The NBA legend had been in recovery after having a quadruple bypass heart surgery two weeks ago.
TMZ has confirmed that someone called 911 on Abdul-Jabbar's behalf, and an ambulance took him to a nearby hospital where he is being treated. His condition is still unclear, though USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt tweeted an update. "Abdul-Jabbar is recovering from quadruple coronary bypass surgery that he had in Los Angeles at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on April 16," Zillgitt wrote.
The Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famer tweeted that he was "feeling better" earlier in the day, just hours before he was rushed to the hospital.
Abdul-Jabbar is one of the greatest players the court has ever seen, and still holds the all-time record for points scored with 38, 387 over his 20 season career. He is a six time MVP and won six championships, five of them with the Lakers.
