That's an interesting way to turn down a job—via Twitter.

That's exactly what Kentucky coach John Calipari did Tuesday, taking to his Twitter account to turn down the vacant New Orleans Pelicans' coaching job in the NBA. If Coach Cal had accepted the position he would have been reunited him with two of his former college players Kentucky star Anthony Davis and Memphis standout Tyreke Evans, but Cal is happy where he is.

"Even though Anthony and Tyreke are in NOLA, I have no interest in the Pelicans or any other job," Calipari tweeted. "I have a great job and I'm happy at UK."

So much for that. Now, we assume that Calipari reached out to the Pelicans with a phone call perhaps before the tweet, but handling rumors with a tweet is always effective. Plus, being the high-profile coach that he is, Cal has to do this kind of thing quite often.
