Twitter beef tends to get real...real quick.
When NFL tight end Kellen Winslow threw some Twitter shots at New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie on Wednesday, he got response that touched a nerve. The epic rebuttal prompted Winslow to challenge Cromartie to a fight.
"Cromartie is one of the biggest posers I have ever seen and played against. Prolly the last guy I would take down an alley with me," Winslow began tweeting Wednesday, responding to Cro's comments about Richard Sherman not being the best cornerback in the NFL. "Worry about yourself Cro. Stop talkin. Your not even close to the best. You got bad feet and are scared to jam."
Winslow's persistence paid off, as his comments caught the attention of Cromartie, who offered some return fire in the worst way.
"@KellenWinslowJr you wish you were as good as your dad. Have you been to TARGET lately?" tweeted Cromartie, who was referencing Winslow's 2014 incident, in which he was accused of masturbating in a Target parking lot in New Jersey.
That triggered a quick fight challenge from Winslow.
We don't know, but this sounded way too personal on Winslow's part.
Nevertheless, the kind of feelings 140 characters or less can evoke is pretty amazing, right?
