Marshawn Lynch Crashes Warriors Championship Parade
You don't get more Oakland than Marshawn Lynch.
That might be why the NFL star running back joined the newly crowned NBA champion Golden State Warriors as they celebrated their title during a raucous parade through the streets of Oakland on Friday.
Regardless of the fact that Lynch plays for the Seattle Seahawks, a direct rival of the Bay Area's San Francisco 49ers, thousands of Warriors fans cheered "Beast Mode" loudly, exemplifying that it's Oakland over all. And we all know Lynch reps Oakland to the fullest.
Lynch wore a T-shirt with the words "Northside Oakland" on it and a Warriors snapback hat, sharing a float with Golden State small forward Draymond Green. Lynch even complimented Green's mom for the tough love she showed her son.
Green rapped his own version to lyrics from Oakland native and diehard Warriors fan E-40. Another notable Oakland native, MC Hammer, appeared on a float as well.
What a day for Oakland and Dubnation. Congrats to the champs!
