Sister, Sister: Venus and Serena Williams to Face Off At Wimbledon

Tennis' reigning siblings seek to break each others' records.

Venus Williams and Serena Williams have been on parallel tracks to the top in tennis since they were in diapers, volleying championships, records and titles back and forth between each other. The sisters, who are each five-time champions at Wimbledon, will face off again at the all-important tournament, Monday (July 6).

It will be the first time the two compete against each other in six years, and just one day after the anniversary of Arthur Ashe becoming the first Black man to win The Championships, some 40 years ago.

TROPHIES: HERE'S WHAT ALL OF SERENA WILLIAMS' GRAND SLAM WINS LOOK LIKE

As USA Today points out, the past half decade has seen Serena, BET's 2015 Sportswoman of the Year, building up her accolades on the court while Venus battled the autoimmune deficiency Sjogren's Syndrome off of it. The must-see match will be more than a little emotional.

Great Britain's top seed Heather Watson buckled under the last-minute "Serena Slam" on Friday, allowing its author to advance to the fourth round against her sister. British loyalists booed Serena after she obliterated Watson on the court, but the victor silenced the crowd with a hand gesture that said, loud and clear, "don't try me."

May the best sister win.
