Serena Williams Defeats Venus In Wimbledon Quarterfinals
Nobody is spared on Serena Williams's chase to tennis immortality...not even her sister.
Serena blasted Venus Williams 6-4, 6-3 in the Wimbledon quarterfinal Monday to continue pulling closer to Steffi Graff (22 titles) and three of Margaret Court (24) for the most Grand Slam singles titles in women's tennis history.
Serena and Venus entered Monday's match with five Wimbledon crowns apiece, but only Serena would emerge as the Williams sister remaining in this year's tournament. Altogether, Serena has won 15 of their 26 head-to-head matches in over a decade of tennis dominance.
