Victor Ortiz is best known for the controversial knockout he suffered at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2011.
Now, TMZ Sports is reporting that Ortiz was arrested Saturday night for assault with a deadly weapon at a Kenny Chesney concert in Pasadena, Calif. The deadly weapon being his feet, not his hands.
Police told TMZ that Ortiz and his brother got into a verbal altercation with another man that turned physical. Ortiz allegedly kicked the man while the victim was down on the ground and cops arrested him for felony assault with a deadly weapon.
The 28-year-old boxer was booked and released on $30,000 bail.
After three straight losses, including against Mayweather, Ortiz won his December 2014 bout against Manuel Perez and owns a record of 30-5-2.
Aside from his boxing career, Ortiz was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars in 2013 and appears as an actor in the recently released Southpaw boxing movie.
