The Sacramento Kings center returned to his childhood stomping grounds to host a youth basketball camp with free eye exams. He toured the city with mayor Sandy Stimpson who helped him in spreading the message of charity and goodwill. Complex reports that Boogie also spoke on his plans to revive his old neighborhood and even made a detour to an elementary school to hang out with the kids.

He will be honored publicly this Sunday (August 23).
