[Fighting Words!?] Floyd Mayweather Jr. Isn't Holding Back How He Feels About Adrien Broner

Hey, AB — hold this L.

There was a long stretch of time that Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Adrien Broner were boxing besties.

Well, gone are those days.

After exchanging jabs over the years, Mayweather and Broner are in an all-out war of words, with Money giving absolutely zero F's about his former friend anymore.

"Adrien Broner, his nickname is 'The Problem.' I think he has a lot of problems," Mayweather told FightHype.com, as reported by Fox Sports. "Adrien Broner was just an alcoholic six months ago. One thing I'm trying to find out about Adrien Broner, is he a boxing promoter, is he a rapper, is he a porn star, or is he a gangster?"

Damn! And Mayweather was just getting warmed up blasting Broner without mercy.

"He said, 'Hateweather Promotions.' I'm still trying to find out what AB stands for. Always broke?" Mayweather continued. "I mean, that's what I thought AB stands for. Last year, I think [Mayweather Promotions CEO] Leonard [Ellerbe] made more money than Adrien Broner. He gave himself a 10-figure name: About Billions. We know he ain't never seen eight figures or nine figures. He's barely seen seven figures. It could be safe to say that just one of my cars costs more than he made in his whole career."

Sheesh!

Dousing the fire with gasoline is the fact that the retired Mayweather's boxer, Ashley Theophane, faces Broner in the ring Friday night in Washington, D.C., giving Theophane the chance to shut Broner up for good on behalf on Money May.

Mayweather's scathing words came in response to Broner sarcastically calling him out during promotion for the fight Wednesday.

"I'm kind of pi**ed that Floyd ain't here." Broner said, as reported by Fox Sports. "I want to say thank you to About Billions Promotions, Headbangers Promotions, Hateweather Promotions, I mean Mayweather Promotions ..."

Broner wasn't laughing the next day, though, when he failed to make weight, coming in at 140.4, slightly over the bout's 140-pound limit. That means that AB has already lost his WBA junior welterweight title.

Make that two losses before Broner even gets in the ring Friday night.

Theophane beating him would really allow Mayweather to have the last laugh.
