Adrien Broner Just Took Another Loss
Adrien Broner's sad failure of an attempt to get Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in the ring was bad enough.
TMZ Sports is reporting that the boxer surrendered to cops in Ohio on Monday morning, stemming from felonious assault and aggravated robbery charges last month when he allegedly beat and robbed a man outside of a bowling alley with a gun.
The celebrity news site says he reportedly posted $100,000 bail before being released.
Not a good look at all, AB, especially considering he defeated Ashley Theophane in the ring Friday night in Washington, D.C., but wound up losing his WBA junior welterweight title anyway because he failed to make the 140-pound limit, coming in at 140.4.
After defeating Theophane, Broner failed rather miserably in trying to bait Mayweather into a fight, calling out the retired, undefeated champion to no avail.
It was bad enough that the crowd booed him in the ring for calling out Mayweather, but possibly worse that Floyd called it the joke of the night, while adding, "I don't play kid games with Adrien Broner."
Broner should get his life together before barking up that tree.
