Dirty Doggin' or Nah? Louisiana Tech Coach Quit Over Cheating Scandal

An inappropriate relationship with his player is only the half of it.

Hall of Fame women's basketball coach Pat Summitt has a stain on her legacy... and she could thank her son for it.

Deadspin is among the media outlets reporting that Tyler Summit, 25, has resigned as head coach of the Louisiana Tech women's basketball team after having an inappropriate relationship.

“It is with great regret that I resign from my position as head coach of the women’s basketball program at Louisiana Tech University," Summit wrote in a statement, as reported to Deadspin. "I am profoundly disappointed in myself for engaging in a relationship that has negatively affected the people I love, respect and care about the most. My hope, plans and prayers are to repair those relationships."

But wait... there's more.

According to SB Nation’s women’s basketball blog, Swish Appeal, the married coach impregnated an unnamed player on the Louisiana Tech team. Unreal.

Tyler's cheating reportedly comes after he married his high school sweetheart only three years ago. Good lord!

Pat Summitt will always be known as one of the greatest coaches in women's basketball history. And now, Tyler will notoriously be known as one of the messiest.

Just reckless.
