[Watch] Dwyane Wade Gets Emotional When He Hears Prince Said This About Him

Here's what the legendary artist thought of the NBA star.

Dwyane Wade felt the power of Prince...and it had the NBA superstar overcome with emotion.

While the national anthem was playing before the start of Game 7 between the Miami Heatand Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, ESPN cameras spotted Wade seemingly crying in an outpour of emotion right on the court.

But after Wade helped lead the Heat to victory, he explained Monday that he wasn't crying, but was deeply impacted listening to a recent interview and learning that he was Prince's favorite NBA player. During the interview, Prince's alleged girlfriend Damaris Lewis calls Prince up and the legendary artist clearly says, "Well, Dwyane Wade's my favorite player, but the Thunder are my favorite team."

Hearing that definitely touched D. Wade.

It's pretty significant that Prince said D. Wade was his favorite player and the Oklahoma City Thunder was his favorite team, especially considering the iconic artist was a Minnesota native.

From the infamous Chappelle's Show skit, in which Prince and the Revolution destroyed Charlie Murphy and his boys in hoops, to Prince being a staple at NBA arenas to take in games, we knew he was a huge basketball fan.

That fandom definitely humbled Dwyane Wade.

Check out Prince's words for the NBA superstar in the interview below.

In addition to being a three-time NBA champion, Dwyane can always boast about this, too.
