If you wanted to know the level to which Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant's beef is in the past, look no further than this — the Black Mamba will be training the Diesel's son, Shareef O'Neal, this summer.
According to Shareef, Kobe first offered the personal, summer basketball training during All-Star Weekend in Toronto this past February and the young hoops prospect jumped at the chance to accept. The son of a Hall of Famer getting trained by a future Hall of Famer? Priceless.
"He was telling me I need to train with him...I'm going to probably start training with him this summer," Shareef told TMZ.
He added, "If we play 1-on-1...I'mma try to win."
Confident kid...and definitely Shaq's son.
Hoop fans will also be happy to know that the hoop legends and former Los Angeles Lakers teammates call and text each other often, according to Shareef.
And for what it's worth, the teenager also thinks it'd be a dope look for his dad and Kobe to reunite via the Black Mamba joining Shaq on TNT's Inside the NBA.
We couldn't agree more.
