Look: D-Wade and Gabrielle Union Moved by Bucs' Mike Evans' Family Tragedy

Here's how the power couple showed their appreciation for the wide receiver.

Dwyane Wade left the Miami Heat to sign with the Chicago Bulls last month, but there's an athlete back in Florida who the three-time NBA champion believes deserves plenty of credit.

Both D. Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, took to their Twitter accounts Sunday to shout out and salute Tampa Bay Buccaneer wide receiver Mike Evans.

That ESPN E:60 segment that Wade referred to centers around Evans, 22, publicly opening up about his family tragedy, which occurred back in October 2002.

Nine years old at the time, Mike lost his father, Mickey, who was brutally shot, stabbed and killed by Evans's own uncle.

Evans was touched by the acknowledgment from Wade and Union, especially considering that the wideout counts the NBA legend as his favorite athlete of all time.

Evans even tweeted out a happy birthday message to Wade last January, thanking him for being his role model.

A year before that, Evans sat courtside in Miami to watch Wade play — an item which Evans said was on his bucket list.

Perhaps a meeting with Mike and Dwyane is in store in the near future.

Sounds like it would mean a lot to both athletes.
