Dream Chaser: Morolake Akinosun Predicted Her Road to Rio for the 2016 Olympics Years Ago
Is there any better feeling than setting your goals, working hard for your dreams and making them come to fruition?
There is, actually — predicting it all on Twitter at the ripe age of 17.
That's the self-fulfilling position Olympic-bound track and field runner Morolake Akinosun finds herself in, having accurately predicted her road to Rio for the 2016 Olympics five years ago. Now, she's able to live those dreams as her reality.
Over the weekend, the now-22-year-old 4x100-meter runner posted her original tweet from July 2011, realizing that she has successfully reached her goal.
Now, that has to feel great.
And it made others feel great to the tune of 180,000-plus retweets and over 338,000 likes on Twitter.
We think it's safe to say that Akinosun won over a lot of fans after sharing these tweets.
The only thing that would take this level of accomplishment up a notch would be for her to attend her graduation ceremony with an Olympic medal around her neck.
We'll definitely be watching her during the Olympics.
