Serena Williams has come a long way since honing her tennis skills with her big sister as a little girl in Compton.
As the tennis queen embarks on making history during this U.S. Open, Nike has released a new ad chronicling her path and rise to excellence.
In a few words, this commercial is inspiring, powerful and #BlackGirlMagic on the highest of levels.
Take a look.
This is part of Nike's continued #UnlimitedGreatness campaign for Serena as she attempts to win the U.S. Open to surpass Steffi Graf's 22 Grand Slam titles and pull within one of Margaret Court's 24 for the most major championships in women's singles tennis history.
This latest ad follows the recent release of another Nike #UnlimitedGreatness commercial with the likes of Olympic heroes Simone Biles, Gabrielle Douglas and Nia Ali all singing Serena's highest praises.
Profound inspiration to say the least.
With her second-round U.S. Open win over Vania King on Thursday night, Williams tied Martina Navratilova's mark of 306 Grand Slam individual match victories.
