Colin Kaepernick sitting and kneeling during the national anthem as a stance against racism and police brutality in America has generated everything from full-fledged support to death threats against his protest.
Well, one of the most-respected rappers in hip-hop history has spoken out in favor of the San Francisco 49ers quarterback, not only relating to his stance, but comparing him to the late, great Muhammad Ali.
Appearing on The View earlier this week, Common made the flattering comparison between the 28-year-old backup QB and the late global sports icon.
"I think the courage that Colin Kaepernick is showing is phenomenal," Common said. "I mean, one of my heroes is Muhammad Ali, and I haven’t seen an athlete take that type of stand since Muhammad Ali."
