Cam Newton Steals Show at 'Super Bowl Opening Night'

Star QB freestyles, jokes about baby son walking, and talks those tight pants.

Published February 2, 2016

Just like it will be Sunday, it was all eyes on Cam Newton during the Super Bowl Opening Night event on Monday.

With a hoard of reporters huddled around him, the Carolina Panthers' superstar quarterback did everything from spitting a freestyle to the media to joking that his one-month-old son could walk already and even addressing those infamous tight pants he wore earlier in the day that set the Internet on fire.

Just like Newton has entertained all season long on the field, he made sure to make his first Super Bowl media session memorable as well.

Check out his freestyle:

Cam drew laughs telling reporters that his baby son, Chosen, could already walk.

And about those tight Versace pants he wore Monday?

Ha! Newton even gave reporters food for thought when asked if he's the LeBron James of the NFL.

Cam's response? "Why can't LeBron be the Cam Newton of power forwards?"

Nice counter.

Newton will lead the Panthers against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night in San Francisco.
