This Man Got Duct-Taped to a Traffic Sign After Losing a Warriors-Rockets Game Bet

Police pulled up to check on Miguel Chavez.

Losing a sports bet could have your bank account taking a hit or, in one man's case, get you duct-taped to a traffic sign.

Wait...what!?

When Miguel Chavez lost a bet predicting his hometown Houston Rockets would defeat the Golden State Warriors earlier this week, it was time for the 17-year-old to pay up. Except when he refused to hand over the cash, his two friends proceeded to duct-tape him to a yield sign adjacent to a busy road in H-Town.

"He ain't wanna pay up so we taped his ass up on the pole," one of Chavez's friends wrote in the caption of his video, showing Chavez being duct-taped.

At the end of the clip, Chavez's friends are heard saying the police and paramedics are here and when they arrived on the scene, things instantly got tense. That's because, as local WTSP 10 News reported, when cops arrived, one of Chavez's friends was approaching Miguel with a knife to cut him loose, to which police yelled, "Drop the knife or I’ll tase you."

They did eventually realize that the friend was only trying to help and there wasn't any incident. But, looking back, Chavez did think for a second that he would be stuck to that yield sign for a while.

Next time, Miguel should think twice before betting against back-to-back NBA MVP Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors.

The funny thing is the Warriors host the Rockets tonight in Oakland, so we can't help but wonder if Chavez will re-up on his bet and try to extract some revenge on his friends.
