People Couldn't Believe LaMelo Ball Let the N-Word Fly Live on 'WWE Raw'

The company issued a statement about the 15-year-old's racial slur.

LaVar Ball and his sons, Lonzo and LaMelo, hijacking WWE’s Monday Night Raw last night definitely managed to steal some spotlight away from the inaugural NBA Awards, which were going on at the same time.

As hyped as Mr. Ball was during his confrontation with WWE superstar The Miz, his youngest son, LaMelo, actually managed to grab some of the attention on his own…but for the rather dubious distinction of yelling the N-word on live television. At one point of the Balls’ guest appearance, LaMelo, 15, could be heard telling his dad to, “beat that n****s ass!”

WWE wasn’t amused. The company released the following statement about LaMelo’s use of the N-word on its flagship TV show to the Los Angeles Times:

“The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.”

That being said, the WWE Universe of fans and beyond simply couldn’t believe what they heard on live TV.

  • Did LaMelo really just say what we think he said?

  • Fans couldn’t believe it, but many actually liked the unscripted moment

    Really, though?

  • One fan even suggested that LaMelo be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for saying exactly what he wanted to on live TV

    Bruh!

  • Between LaVar’s antics and LaMelo letting the N-word fly, this fan had enough

Down for the count. Too much for a Monday night.

  • WWE fans have heard the N-word fly before on the company’s programming from both Booker T and WWE owner Vince McMahon

But this one might have been more surprising because it came from a guest, not a WWE Superstar.

  • Upon hearing LaMelo, Vince McMahon was probably like…

    And the internet remains undefeated.

  • At the end of the day, live television can be dangerously unpredictable
