Guess Which NBA Baller Millionaire Got Dragged For Leaving A Garbage Tip

Even his teammates were clowning him for it.

NBA players make a lot of money (just look at James Harden’s new contract, for example). So they should be able to tip the right amount when they make big purchases at venues, right?

  • Well, sort of. Anyone should tip appropriately proportionate to how much they spent. That’s why Andre Roberson of the Oklahoma City Thunder was so mercilessly crucified for his recent less-than-adequate tipping at a bar.

A bartender tweeted a pic of the receipt he got back from Roberson, which showed him tipping only $14 on a $487 bottle of liquor he purchased. He captioned it, “Get paid 30 million for 3 years and tips this! You're trash!”

The tweet went viral and initially Roberson’s response wasn’t to well-received. He quoted the bartender’s remarks and offered an explanation that was met some heat.

“Shouldn't have had to tip you it was just a bottle at a bar ...there was no service ..now I can see if it was a club! You Reaching bro,” he wrote. After what seemed like a sea of current and ex-food and entertainment industry workers scolded Roberson, he broke it all down.

“I'm a great guy and all for helping people out but when you try to take advantage of a situation it pisses me off!” he wrote via Twitter. “So at the end of the day the close ones to me my family, friends, etc know I'm a great tipper!”

It all fell on deaf ears though when it came to some of Roberson’s teammates. In another tweet, which he used to try and change the subject, the Thunder small forward wrote, “In other news! Where is @Enes_Kanter & @RealStevenAdams these days hope your doing good brodies!!!”

    It attempt was blocked. Hard.

“We just out here tipping more than $13,” Adams responded, and Kanter added “Hahahaha oh no!! Don't do that to him like that please.”
