Lions Fans Respond To Being Called 'Ignorant N*****s' For Sitting During The National Anthem

"To write that under our picture ... no words."

Several NFL players have knelt or sat during the national anthem before games early into this 2017 season.

And that stance has extended to fans as well. However, when two Detroit Lions fans sat during the anthem before the Arizona Cardinals-Lions game at Ford Field on Sunday, they were photographed and labeled "ignorant n*****s" on a fellow fan's Snapchat account in a racist image that has since gone viral.

Absolutely disgusting.

Well, Fox2 Detroit caught up with the woman in that photo and she was understandably disturbed by being labeled the n-word.

“Everybody has an opinion," Stacey, whose last name wasn't revealed, said. "He probably could've stuck with ‘he wishes we would've stood’ and I would’ve been like ‘OK,’ but to write that under our picture … no words.”

According to Fox 2, she added that she chooses to sit during the national anthem because of its lyrics about killing self-emancipated slaves.

“We gotta build our country back together, we gotta come together," she continued. "Whatever that may mean. But that's going in the opposite direction. The racial slur, that's going backwards.”

The alleged man behind the racist Snapchat post initially denied taking the photo and labeling Stacey and the man next to her "ignorant n*****s."

The man, who allegedly owns a Pontiac business, later changed his story via a Facebook post before he deleted his account altogether.

Fox 2 Detroit reported that both the man and Stacey are season-ticket holders and that she wants the Lions to revoke his membership or move her seat far away from him.
