Indiana Pacers vs. Detroit Pistons vs. the Fans
Nicknamed “The Malice in the Palace,” this November 2004 brawl is regarded as one of the worst in NBA history. In the final seconds of the game, players from both teams went at it on the court. The riot was made worse by a fan who threw a drink on then-Pacers star Ron Artest (presently known as Metta World Peace), spurring him to jump in the stands. In the end, nine players faced suspensions and several fans faced criminal charges. (Photo: Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)
