In 2003 Tommy Kane, a former wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks and later in the Canadian Football League, pled guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of Tamara Shaikh, the mother of his four children. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison. In 2010, he was ordered to pay his children and their guardian $590,000 for pain and suffering. (Photo: Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)
