Moving on to Miami

Early signs of possible drug problems surfaced in November 2001, when Odom was suspended from the Clippers for violating drug policies. He later admitted to smoking pot. He became a free agent and was picked up by the Miami Heat in the 2003 off-season. He helped the team get to its first playoff series win in four years.
