Basketball Hall of Fame Elects Mourning and Richmond
Alonzo Mourning and Mitch Richmond have been elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame, CBS Sports is reporting. Mourning, one of the most intense centers in NBA history, played 15 seasons, averaging 17 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. He was also a two-time Defensive Player of the Year winner, and won a championship with the Miami Heat in 2006. Richmond played 14 seasons, mostly with the Golden State Warriors, and averaged 21 points per game.
