Sports Buzz: UConn Beats Florida, Earns Trip to Title Game
Chris Johnson and Titans Part Ways
After being rumored earlier in the week, it's official: the Tennessee Titans released running back Chris Johnson on Friday. Johnson, who is one of only six players to rush for 2,000 yards in a season (2009), averaged a career-low 3.9 yards per carry last year and didn't have a run for more than 30 yards the entire 2013 season. He was scheduled to make $8 million from the Titans in 2014. That being said, NFL.com is already reporting that the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys have joined the New York Jets as suitors for the rusher.
