Football Players We'd Like to See in Reality Shows

Even off the field these gridiron guys can entertain.

NFL Stars That Need a Reality Show - In lieu of reports that NFL-bound quarterback AJ McCarron and his model fiancée Katherine Webb are filming scenes for a possible reality show, BET.com has taken the liberty to toss around the names of football players we think would make for entertaining reality show stars. No disrespect to Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson, but we really haven't seen a gridiron star make must-see reality TV.(Photos From Left: Charles Baus/CSM/Landov, Henny Ray Abrams/AP Photo)

Johnny Football - Say what you want about Johnny Manziel, but the kid has got swag with a flashy game to match. Looking at his pro day workout late last month alone, Manziel created a buzz, coming out to Drake’s music pumping through the speakers and controversially throwing in shoulder pads and a helmet. Shoot, even former President George Bush came out to watch him. (Okay, he doesn’t get points for that). A Johnny Football reality show for the soon-to-be NFL quarterback would be a hit and maybe Drake could even make a cameo. Worst Behavior! (Photo: Joe Robbins/Getty Images)

Keepin' Up the Joneses - A UFC fighter and his two NFL brothers walk into a bar…except this isn’t the start to a lame joke. It’s reality. It’d be great to see how Arthur Jones, defensive end of the Indianapolis Colts, interacts with younger brothers Jon “Bones” Jones, a mixed martial arts champion, and Chandler Jones, defensive end on the New England Patriots. We feel sorry for any sad soul who messes with these three brothers on air. Can you say when keeping it real goes wrong?(Photos from Left: Jim Rogash/Getty Images, Rob Carr/Getty Images)

Manning Up - Cool and laid back, it would be great to catch NFL quarterback brothers Peyton and Eli Manning off the field in their own reality show. Think little brother Eli jabs big bro Peyton for only having one Super Bowl ring to his two? Shots fired. (Photo: Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images)

The Real DeSean Jackson - Recent reports claimed DeSean Jackson has gang ties, which were allegedly responsible for the Philadelphia Eagles cutting the Pro Bowl wide receiver last month. Jackson has since denied being in a gang. Newly signed to the Washington Redskins, why not put reality show cameras on him and let the world decide just who the real DeSean Jackson is? (Photo: D Dipasupil/Getty Images for Airbnb)

Rex Ryan, New York Jets - Rex Ryan knows what’s coming. The New York Jets basically saved his job with a strong push late last season. Well, there won’t be any kind of push this season with Gang Green suffering through a 2-10 record. Still, don’t be surprised to see Ryan get fired and land back on his feet with either a defensive coordinator position (Hello, Atlanta, Chicago, Tennessee) or another head coaching gig with a team like the Oakland Raiders or Chicago Bears. Rex still has legs in the league…just not with the Jets. That fuel has run its course and he’s a sitting duck.  (Photo: Jeff Zelevansky/Getty Images)

Rex Ryan Uncut - Okay, Rex Ryan isn’t a football player — he’s the head coach of the New York Jets. But his scene-stealing quotes — like “Let’s go eat a godd--n snack!” or “That’s being a jackass!” on HBO’s Hard Knocks show for the 2011 seasons begs for Rex to have his very own show. Rex is one funny dude. (Photo: Jeff Zelevansky/Getty Images)

Detroit Lions - Diddy is already part of a multimillion dollar Nike ad campaign featuring the Lions' star WR Calvin Johnson, so why not let Johnson (Diddy's character in the ads) run the whole operation?(Photos from left: Leon Halip/Getty Images, Michael Stewart/Getty Images)

Calvin & Johnson - One’s the best wide receiver in football. The other is hip hop’s cash king, just ask Forbes. Detroit Lions wideout Calvin Johnson and Diddy already had a hit Nike commercial together where the music mogul plays the ultra narcissistic inner ego of the reclusive NFL superstar. A show based on the ad would be the funniest fake reality show you've seen since Real Husbands of Hollywood. Take that, take that, take that!(Photos from left: Leon Halip/Getty Images, Michael Stewart/Getty Images)

Heisman House - Already a fan of the Heisman House series from the Nissan commercials? To have cameras running 24-7 and catching greats like Barry Sanders and Desmond Howard alongside a future star like Robert Griffin III would be magic. Now, strike that Heisman pose and get the contracts ready! (Photo: Patrick McDermott/Getty Images)

Shady Aftermath - We already know how Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean “Shady” McCoy has the meanest ground game in the NFL, leading the league in rushing yards in 2013 with 1,607. Shady Aftermath would give fans a chance to see what the outspoken rusher does after giving his competition that work every Sunday. (Photo: Slaven Vlasic/Getty Images)

Throwing Rocks at Richard Sherman's Throne - Richard Sherman is a big believer in the phrase ‘numbers don’t lie.’ In May, he tweeted a statistical graphic that showed him crushing head-to-head competition against fellow cornerbacks Patrick Peterson, Joe Haden and Darrelle Revis in the 2013 season. Sherman ranked first across nearly every category including least targeted, least amount of touchdowns and passing yards allowed and most interceptions (eight). Quite simply, Sherman backed up all his talk and left little doubt that he is the NFL’s best cornerback. Well, with that title comes a lot of his fellow corners throwing rocks at his throne. This past weekend, New York Jets corner Dee Milliner declared himself the best CB in football. You listening to this, Rich? BET.com points out all of the cornerbacks trying to corner the market and dethrone Sherman. (Photo: Elsa/Getty Images)

Sherman’s Sermons - Smart, opinionated and outspoken. Truth be told, simply letting Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman talk in front of cameras would be entertaining. However, we envision his Compton upbringing and Stanford education being on display while attempting to straighten out the lives of several at-risk youth. Better intercept a feed on this show. (Photo: Elsa/Getty Images)

Dallas Cowboys - Dez Bryant and Andre Johnson may very well be the most physical wide receivers in the NFL. The lure of forming that kind of imposing tandem of receiving weapons for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo may just be too much for owner Jerry Jones to pass up. Get it done, Jerry — America's Team has to keep up with the Joneses! (Photo: Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

Being Dez Bryant - Late last month, a report surfaced revealing the strict rules that the Dallas Cowboys mandate their star wide receiver Dez Bryant abide by. Some rules included a midnight curfew, no alcohol, and a ban from attending strip clubs. With all that being set in place, Being Dez Bryant would allow viewers to see how he responds. Touchdown? More like a safety. (Photo: Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)
