Raymond Felton Claims to Play on Elite Point Guard Level
After being recently traded from the New York Knicks to the Dallas Mavericks, Raymond Felton told a group of Dallas reporters: "I still play as an elite point guard at this level," Felton said, as reported by ESPN. "That's just all." It's all nonsense, Raymond! Did we read right? How do you still play as an elite point guard? You're coming off a career-low 9.7 points per game! That's not elite. It's beneath elite, sir. Sure, Felton's career averages of 13.1 points and 6.5 assists per game are serviceable NBA numbers, but don't go and throw yourself in the company of cats like Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, Tony Parker, and Russell Westbrook. You're not on their level! Thing is, Felton isn't the first of his kind, an athlete drunk with delusional confidence. Click on for more side-eye worthy quotes from sports stars.
