Athletes Who Could Play Another Sport

LeBron James attends Cleveland Browns training camp.

LeBron James Attends Cleveland Browns Practice - LeBron James dropped by Cleveland Browns training camp Thursday, chopping it up with friend and rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel and head coach Mike Pettine. The friendly visit got us thinking...'Damn, King James could play pro football if he wanted to.' At 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds of solid muscle, don't call us crazy because we think LeBron could play tight end in the NFL if he wanted to. Maybe even quarterback. This kind of pipe dream only got us thinking of other sports stars we think could play another game.  (Photo: AP Photo/The Cleveland Plaindealer, Chuck Crow)

Steve Nash - We've seen former two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash dribble a soccer ball just about as good as he handles the rock on the NBA hardwood. We'd love to see him as a midfielder, directing traffic and making plays happen. Maybe fellow Los Angeles Laker and avid soccer fan Kobe Bryant could join him.(Photo: Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

Jameis Winston Rape Accuser Denies Extortion Claim - According to her lawyer in a newTMZ Sports reportJameis Winston’s rape accuser didn’t attempt to extort the Heisman Trophy winner. The attorney contends that Winston actually reached out to her first in an attempt to work out a pay off. This comes after the same website ran a report earlier this week about the Florida State University quarterback’s attorney claiming that his client’s rape accuser made the accusation as part of a $7 million extortion attempt. (Photo: Stacy Revere/Getty Images)

Jameis Winston - A Heisman winner, Jameis Winston has already put the football world on notice for his gridiron skills. But the Florida State University quarterback is a pretty good baseball player for the school too. We would love to see another Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders type of two-sport situation develop with young Jameis Winston. Touchdown. Home run. Why not? (Photo: Stacy Revere/Getty Images)

Carmelo Anthony Says Nobody Would Want to Go to the Hawks - After learning of the racially-insensitive comments made by Atlanta Hawks owner Bruce Levenson and general manager Danny Ferry, one NBA superstar thinks the franchise will struggle to lure superstars in the future. "[There] ain't nobody [who] would want to go there," Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks told ESPN over the weekend. "At the end of the day, Atlanta, I think it puts Atlanta back even further now, from that standpoint.” (Photo: Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

Carmelo Anthony - We've seen an Instagram post of Carmelo Anthony boxing and we couldn't help but imagine the damage Melo could do in between the ropes. Imagine the New York Knicks' forward in the heavyweight division.(Photo: Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

Antonio Gates - Antonio Gates was a serious hoops player for Kent State. The man got game and although he's 34 now, he could probably do a little something in a reserve role in the NBA. At 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, there won't be any contact in basketball that the San Diego Chargers tight end hasn't seen or better yet, felt, in football. Just don't ever draw a charge on this guy. They'll be scraping you off the hardwood. (Photo: John Grieshop/Getty Images)

Matt Holliday - Back, back, back...home run! That call could have easily been changed to Matt Holliday dropping back in the pocket as a quarterback instead of a current slugger for the St. Louis Cardinals. Holliday was actually offered a scholarship by Oklahoma State to play QB, but turned it down for a baseball career. Smart choice...lesser bruises. (Photo: Brian Kersey/Getty Images)

Metta World Peace - He has knocked James Harden unconscious with an elbow, went after Kobe Bryant, and even threw punches at a fan during a melee in Detroit. Somebody get Metta World Peace in the Octagon and train him in mixed martial arts already! Might be seeing the next UFC champ and we'd put the pay in pay-per-view to make it happen.  (Photo: Elsa/Getty Images)

Julius Peppers - Like Antonio Gates, Julius Peppers has a background in basketball in addition to football. The current defensive star for the Green Bay Packers was a walk-on for the University of North Carolina before going on to become a force in the NFL. At 6-foot-7, Peppers is as agile as they come. We wonder if Peppers still got game on the court.(Photo: Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)

Tim Duncan - Before Tim Duncan went on to win five NBA championships with the San Antonio Spurs, he was focused on making the 1992 Olympics as a member of the USA's men's swimming team. Those dreams would unravel, though, after Hurricane Hugo destroyed the only Olympic-size swimming pool in Duncan's native Virgin Islands. Well, we'd say TD recovered pretty darn well.(Photo: Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

Tony Romo – Make Real Run in Playoffs - Another solid season for Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys. A 12-4 finish and NFC East championship are building blocks to a solid post-season. However, history isn't on Romo's side when it comes to the playoffs, where he sports a career 1-3 record. This is the year for Romo and them 'Boys to make a serious Super Bowl run. It should definitely be Romo's New Year's resolution and honestly, all that's on his mind right now.(Photo: Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

Tony Romo - There are a ton of athletes who have drawn laughter at trying their hands at golf. We see you Charles Barkley. But Tony Romo isn't one of them. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback is pretty good on the green. Maybe it's a possible second career after football.(Photo: Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)
