Seahawks Give Earl Thomas $40 Million Extension

The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and their hard-hitting safety Earl Thomas agreed on a four-year contract extension worth $40 million Monday, including $27.75 million in guaranteed money. This deal makes Thomas the NFL’s first $10 million-a-year safety.
