Silver on Sterling: "We're Doing the Right Thing"
NBA commissioner Adam Silver is pleased with the progress the league is making in the removal of banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. "We know we're doing the right thing, and I know I have the owners behind me," Silver told ESPN on Tuesday, one day after the NBA charged Sterling with damaging the league with his racist comments against African-Americans and set a hearing for June 3. According to ESPN, Sterling has until May 27 to respond to the charge, and he has the right to appear at the hearing and make a presentation in front of the board of governors. If Sterling does not respond by May 27, that will be grounds for termination. (Photos from Left: Patrick McDermott/Getty Images, Danny Moloshok/AP Photo)
