Spurs Destroy Thunder

This Western Conference Finals series between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder has certainly had its fair share of lopsided victories. With the series tied at 2-2, Game 5 on Thursday night wasn’t any different. The Spurs blew a 10-point halftime lead wide open over the final two quarters, routing the Thunder 117-89 to take a 3-2 series lead. Tim Duncan led the way for the Spurs with 22 points and 12 rebounds, telling the Associated Press, “This is the craziest series I’ve ever been involved in.” True enough, all three of the Spurs’ wins in this series have come by margins of 17 points or greater, as they’re one victory away from returning to the NBA Finals.
