Sports Buzz: Richard Sherman Leads Seahawks Over 49ers

Plus, Megatron destroys Bears.

Richard Sherman Backs Up Mouth With Big Play - Richard Sherman's on-the-field trash talk with San Francisco 49ers fans on Thanksgiving night didn't affect his play at all. If anything, it fueled it. The Pro Bowl cornerback recorded two interceptions to help lead the defending champion Seattle Seahawks to a 19-3 win over the 49ers on Thursday night. "The second one was pretty entertaining. I was laughing the whole time," Sherman said to ESPN of his second interception. "They threw it. I said, 'Way to be, way to be.'"   (Photo: Brian Bahr/Getty Images)

Megatron Destroys Bears - They call him "Megatron" for a reason. Calvin Johnson caught 11 passes for 146 yards and two first-half touchdowns to lead the Detroit Lions to a 34-17 home win over the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving day. And some critics thought that the 29-year-old wide receiver was slowing down after battling a high-ankle sprain. Not yet. With the win, the Lions improved to 8-4. (Photo: Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)

John Wall Says He'll Always Be Rivals With Rose, Irving - The facts that they're all No. 1 overall draft picks, All-Star point guards and in the Eastern Conference makes the rivalry between John Wall, Kyrie Irving and Derrick Rose fun for the NBA and its fans. That's what Wall thinks, as the Washington Wizards point guard told ESPN: "I think between me, [Irving] and Derrick, we're always going to be rivals, in my opinion. Number-one picks, all in the Eastern Conference, I think it's going to be a battle for a long time, I mean as long as everybody is healthy and playing. That's what everybody is going to want to see." Wall's Wizards have split their two meetings with Irving's Cleveland Cavaliers this season and Washington is schedule to host Rose's Chicago Bulls on December 23.(Photos from left: Jason Miller/Getty Images, Andy Lyons/Getty Images, AP P...

How Will Knicks Adjust to the Triangle Offense? - Much has been made of the New York Knicks’ ability to conform to the vaunted triangle offense under first-year coach Derek Fisher, overseen by team president Phil Jackson. Well, how about this as a gauge on the Knicks and the triangle? If Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks can get back into the playoffs, we can call the triangle offense a success so far. If not, the Knicks still have ways to go. We actually like them for a sixth or seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. (Photo: Rich Barnes/Getty Images)

Carmelo Anthony Doubtful With Back Spasms - Carmelo Anthony is listed as doubtful for Friday night's New York Knicks-Oklahoma City Thunder game with continued back spasms. What's worse is the NBA superstar told ESPN that he just doesn't know how long he'll be out due to spasms being "hard to gauge."  (Photo: Rich Barnes/Getty Images)

Washington to Go With Colt McCoy Over Robert Griffin III - Washington coach Jay Gruden made it official Wednesday morning — the team is benching Robert Griffin III and starting Colt McCoy at quarterback Sunday instead, ESPN is reporting. Gruden and even fans have been down on RGIII for weeks now; his paltry 106-yards passing effort without a touchdown in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday did not help his cause much either. Washington (3-8) will visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.  (Photo: Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)

J.R. Smith Having Tough Time Adjusting to Triangle Offense - Leave it to J.R. Smith to say exactly what's on his mind. When talking to ESPN about the New York Knicks' new team-first mentality, the veteran shooting guard honestly admitted that he's struggling getting used to it. "Trying to think about the rest of the team over myself or my scoring is something that I never really had to do before," Smith said. "I've always been in a situation to score, [now I'm] in position to take my time and let the game come and let my teammates succeed more than myself, I think that's the ultimate win." Smith hopes to contribute more than the 14.5 points per game he averaged last season in a dismal Knicks finish.(Photo: Alex Goodlett/Getty Images)

After Patriots running back Jonas Gray rushed for four touchdowns last week, he sat out Sunday against the Detroit Lions for being late to Friday’s team practice.
