Up in Smoke
Adding to growing controversy over drug use among NFL draft prospects, former NFL offensive lineman and current ESPN analyst Lomas Brown told the Detroit News on Friday that he believed more than half of NFL players indulged in an illegal substance. Brown, who played for 10 seasons with the Detroit Lions, was speaking out over the marijuana possession charges handed down to three Detroit Lions players (all drafted in the 2011 season). He added things were even worse when he entered the league in 1985, claiming that as many as 90 percent of players used marijuana either recreationally or to relieve stress and pain.
