Dr. J’s Bad Prognosis
NBA Legend Julius Erving (known to his fans as Dr. J) is in hot water for defaulting on a $1 million loan from a Georgia bank in 2009. According to court documents obtained recently by TMZ, Erving still owes $210,705.71 on the loan. After the bank’s requests for payment were ignored, it filed a lawsuit against Erving and his company, The Erving Group Inc. of Atlanta, in 2011, and now a Georgia court has ordered him to pay $230,286.86 — the original balance $210,705.71, plus $19,581.15 in interest, according to TMZ.
