Negotiation Talks Sour Between NFL Heads and Referees
The National Football League said Monday it will immediately begin to hire and train replacement officials as contract talks with the NFL Referees Association “remain unresolved and the previous CBA has expired.” NFL reps said the training and replacement program will begin next month so as not to disrupt the upcoming NFL season.
