Major League Soccer Bolsters Diversity
A recent study from the University of Central Florida's Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport (TIDES) awarded MLS a B+/A- rating for its racial hiring practices and a B grade for gender hiring practices. Minorities currently make up 51 percent of the league, surpassing whites for the first time in MLS history.
