NCAA Crackdown
Several recent incidents at Southern California schools, including the suspension of UCLA freshman basketball player Shabazz Muhammad, are raising questions about the practices of the NCAA enforcement in investigating players and coaches in college sports. One NCAA official has been accused of prejudging Muhammad before all the facts were presented, while other officials have been characterized as “potentially malicious” in how they handled a USC coach involved with the Reggie Bush sanctions, the Los Angeles Times reports.
