Lakers’ Owner Jerry Buss Dies at 80

The owner of the Los Angeles Lakers since 1979, Jerry Buss died Monday at the age of 80 in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. after kidney failure. The Lakers won 10 titles under Buss’ leadership and he spent big money for star players over the years such as Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal. (Photo: AP Photo/Gene Puskar, File)
