There's nothing like home baked cookies during the holdays and we've got just the recipe! See how you too can make one of the season's most popular confections.
For the brownie layer 1 (18 ounce) box brownie mix, prepared and unbaked
For the Oreo layer 1 (15 1/2 ounce) package Oreo cookies
For the chocolate chip cookie layer 1 (18 ounce) roll ready-made refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
I. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
II. Take an 8x8 baking pan then spray with baking spray.
III. Make the brownie layer per box instructions (without baking). Set the batter aside.
IV. Get cookie dough ready.
I. Start by gently pressing the cookie dough into the bottom of the pan, making sure to create an even layer.
II. Then add a layer of Oreos on top of the cookie dough. Nudge them as close together as possible without overlapping.
III. Pour the brownie batter on top of the Oreo layer. Use a spatula to make sure it's even.
IV. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
V. Test with a toothpick to see if the center is done. It's OK if the toothpick has some brownie on it. It's easy to over-bake the cookie layer if left in the oven too long.
VI. Let them rest for several hours for easier handling and serving.
