On Saturday night a verdict was delivered in the George Zimmerman trial and he was found not guilty of the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. It turned the world upside down in a sense leaving our community, sad, angry, confused and wanting justice. Tonight on 106 & Park we'll be speaking to experts that can help us all make sense of what we're thinking, feeling and how to move forward to a more peaceful and just world.
Experts that will be joining us tonight include political activist, author and commentator Marc Lamont Hill, John Jay College professor and contributing writer to the Huffington Post Myisha Cherry, laywer and Georgetown law professor Paul Butler, and Rev. Lenox Yearwood, Jr. who is the President and CEO of the Hip Hop Caucus, minister and community activist. Former 106 & Park co-host and Extra correspondent AJ Calloway will also be in the house to lend his support and thoughts on the verdict. Florida native and rap superstar Flo Rida is also going to stop by 106 tonight as he is an alum of the football league that Trayvon was a part of as a teen.
