With schools all across the United States losing funding, teachers and resources, a movie like Won't Back Down is right on time.
Won't Back Down follows the story of Jamie Fitzpatrick and Nona Alberts, played by Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis respectively. The two women, one of whom is a teacher (Viola Davis), find the school system that their children are in to be below satisfactory standards and want to make a major change to the system's inner-city schools and the education that their children and others receive.
